Gabapentin
[CAS Number 60142-96-3] Gabapentine, sold under brand names such as Neurontin and Nupentin, is an inhibitory neurotransmitter and anticonvulsant drug used to treat seizures primarily. However, it can also be used as a supportive treatment for epilepsy and neuropathic pain. Gabapentine is currently not a controlled substance in the US, but it has been cited for its euphoric effects in conjunction with opioid abuse. Gabapentine is available as reference material (bulk powder and/or solution) and as calibrated, Ready-to-Use, certified reference material (CRM).
